Coleus

Beautiful ornamental nettle

South-East Asia

Did you know that: the Coleus is also called ornamental nettle because of its special colourful leaves?

Fun fact: Coleus can adapt its leaf colour and pattern to light. In lower light, the leaves become greener, but in bright, indirect light, the vibrant colours really come to life. So what are you waiting for? Add some colour to your home with this beautiful plant!

Care tips

A light or dark location

This means daylight but not directly in bright sunlight, as this can scorch the leaves. With a light but also shady location and a temperature between 15 and 24°C, the Coleus will do well.

Keep moist, the potting soil must not dry out

It is important to water the plant sufficiently to enjoy this beautiful plant for as long as possible. Coleus' potting soil should always be slightly moist, but the Coleus does not like wet feet. So avoid getting a layer of water at the bottom of the pot.

cut back regularly

The Coleus will continue to grow if you let it do its thing. Therefore, trim back the Coleus regularly to maintain a nice shape.
